Plain terms for using Doorbell. Installing the app means you accept them.

The service
Doorbell adds a chat widget to your storefront, collects the name and email of visitors who write to you, and lets you answer them from your Shopify admin. Answers reach the visitor in the widget, or by email if they have left your store.
Plans and payment
The free plan covers 50 conversations per calendar month. Visitors can always leave their details and write to you, on any plan — replying beyond the free limit requires a paid plan. Doorbell Pro costs $19 per month and includes a 14-day trial.
All charges go through Shopify Billing and appear on your Shopify invoice. We never see or store your card details. Cancel any time from the app or by uninstalling it; Shopify handles proration according to its own rules.
Your data and your customers
Conversations and contacts belong to you. You can export your contacts as CSV at any time, including before you leave. What we store and for how long is described in the privacy policy.
You are responsible for how you use the addresses you collect — in particular for complying with the marketing and privacy rules that apply to you.
Acceptable use
Don't use Doorbell to send spam, to harass people, or to collect data you have no right to collect. We may suspend an account that does, and will explain why.
Availability
We aim to keep the service running and to fix problems quickly, but we don't promise uninterrupted operation. Planned work that affects the widget will be announced by email to merchants who have the app installed.
Liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Ending it
Uninstall the app whenever you like — that ends these terms. Your data is erased after Shopify's shop deletion request arrives, 48 hours later.
Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top changes, and merchants with the app installed are notified by email before the change takes effect.
